I am getting in the Independence Day spirit a little early. Above is a drawing of George Washington, Father of the United States, done in a comic book style.
Nice! I totally agree (:< he doesn't need some snazzy, skin-tight costume and a shield to kick butt.
Captain America needs a shield, George was too bad ass for a shield.
GEORGE WASHINGTON "F" YEAH!
Hey! That’s not Captain America! He is General America!
Ha-ha. Well said, thank you.
A very nice tribute to the Original Captain America (terrific designation!). It's refreshing to see Washington shown as a strong warrior, as opposed to the older gentleman we think of as president. I only wish the flag was a bit more visible.
YES! Excellent job!
Wow, that's actually a very nice-looking Washington. Very distinguished and buffed too!
Thank you. Yes, Washingon was a man of imposing physicality, being well over six feet tall and possessing the commanding athleticism of a soldier and fencer. Also, even from a young age when his exploits from the French and Indian War were published, he was seen as a heroic celebrity of sorts, a bit like Captain America was in the Marvel Universe.
Oh, wow, how very awesome! Some things I know about Washington, especially with touring his home, Mount Vernon on a back east trip of mine some years back. That is such a fascinating house, oh, my goodness! Absolutely beautiful!
Swell job! Not to mention a clever take with the whole "Original Captain America" bit too.
